Ends... With our Pre- and Post-Camp Programs!
PRE-CAMP
Dates: Thursday, June 26 and Friday, June 27
For campers entering first grade through eighth, the Pre-Camp
Program brides the gap between school and summer camp programs.
This program meets at the new mid-island Bernikow JCC and
includes swimming, gym and lounge time and a local trip to
places such as the movie theater, bowling alley, or roller rink.
Camp times are from 9 am to 4 pm with extended hours available
from 8 am to 9 am and 4 pm to 7 pm for an additional $5 per
hour. Please pack campers with a brown bagged Kosher lunch
labeled with their name.
POST-CAMP
Dates: Monday, August 25 through Friday, August 29
2 Incredible Choices! Both camps will take place at the new
mid-Island Bernikow JCC and meet from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Campers must choose from one of the options and may not combine.
Extended hours are available from 8am to 9:30am and 3:30pm to
7pm at the rate of $5 per hour ($2.50 per half hour). Please
pack campers with a brown bagged Kosher lunch labeled with their
name. Kosher snacks will be provided..
Mad Science: Red hot robots mad science
camp Ages: Children entering Grades 1 through 6. Camp will run
in partnership with Mad Science of Staten Island Morning
Schedule: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm Campers will learn about, play
with, build and take home super cool red-hot robots! Campers
will play robot soccer, program a robot so that it goes wherever
they want it to and navigate it through an obstacle course to
earn a “Master of Robotics” certificate. Lastly, campers will
meet Dr. Claw who teaches them how electric circuits, switches
and gears all help robots do some very cool things. Afternoon
Schedule: 12:30pm - 3:30 pm - Lunch, Swim, Gym Sports and Games
and Youth Lounge equipped with table top and video games.

Film & Television: A Star is Born
Ages: Children entering grades 3 through 9 (must be at least 8
years old). Camp will run in partnership with Acting out
Production Morning Schedule: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm Instructors from
Acting Out Productions will teach classes in film and television
where campers learn the dynamics of performing in front of the
camera. Campers will be taught to identify the differences
between stage and television acting and receive coaching in
both, will spend time reading and interpreting a commercial
script, focus on character and scene development and sharpen
their acting skills through voice, movement and improvisation.
Afternoon Schedule: 12:30 - 3:30 - Lunch, Swim, Gym Sports and
Games and Youth Lounge equipped with table top and video games.
