Leadership Training, Camp Counselor Skills
Development and great Trips Make a difference in the life of a child. Spend your summer with the JCC getting "on the job" training and experience working with children. As a CIT, you will learn basic information on 'kid relating" skills, child development and how to lead games. CITs also o on great weekly trips to places like great Adventure, Dorney Park, Seaside Heights and a two day/one night overnight. CITs are required to attend training and orientation sessions prior to and during the camp season. Upon successful completion of the program, program participants are eligible for employment at the JCC camp. New for 2008! CIT II ISRAEL OPTION It’s your turn to explore Israel from north to south, east to west and everywhere in between! Ages: Entering grades 10-12 4 week program: June 30 – July 29 JCC Maccabi Israel is a 4 week trip to Israel where teens from the tri-state area walk, hike, snorkel, dig, ride a camel and a jeep, fly, float, cycle, swim and sing their way through our homeland. Your journey will take you from a desert challenge to a boat cruise, a hike up Masada to floating in the Dead Sea. Feel Israel’s modern culture at the beaches in Tel Aviv and its ancient traditions in mystical Tsfat. Go for a hike in the Galilee and take a dip in the Kinneret. Feel the vibration of a drum circle and the transcendent spirituality of the Kotel in the Old City. It’s the perfect blend, meeting new friends, Jewish journeys, and history. Take the trip of a lifetime! (Upon return from Israel, teens entering grade 10 are eligible to enroll in the CIT II program)
