Social Adult Day Program Coordinator
This position is full time (35 hours per week) and will be based out of the Avis/South Shore JCC building. The responsibilities are as follows:
  • Coordinate and supervise day to day operations of the program
  • Ensure that a complete and accurate Care Plan is provided for each client in accordance with DFTA standards.
  • Coordinate transportation services for client to and/or from the program
  • Maintain caseload of 35, including maintenance of daily attendance logs, completion of quarterly care plans with each client and his/her caregiver, etc.

Requirements:  BSW or Bachelor’s in related field required, minimum of 1 year experience in social service field preferred.

Direct Support Professionals (Day Habilitation program)
This position is part time (hours TBD) and will be based out of the Joan & Alan Bernikow JCC building. The responsibilities are as follows:
  • Ensuring the safety of all adults with developmental disabilities in a community setting
  • Working closely to model behaviors for individuals attending program
  • Provide prompting and supports as individuals work towards their goals of living independent lives
  • Complete necessary paperwork in a timely matter
  • Contribute new and exciting ideas for program enhancement
  • Attend regular meetings, and training opportunities
  • High School Diploma; experience with the population preferred
Camp Counselor
July 5th-August 25th
 Camp Counselors are responsible for facilitating and implementing camp activities on a daily basis for children and young adults with special needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Role model for children/young adults
  • Participation in all activities to support individuals with disabilities
  • Facilitate activities
  • Utilize behavior management techniques
  • Implement all safety protocols to support the needs of individuals with disabilities
  • Effective communication with peers, and leadership team
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all campers
  • Other responsibilities as per the Camp Director
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Camp experience preferred but not required
Marvin’s Camp Nurse
July 5-August 25
Medication administration and record keeping
  • Communication with staff regarding individuals health information, and emergency protocols
  • Provide basic first aid to children and adults
  • Ability to assess an emergency medical situation and determine best course of action
  • Other responsibilities as per the Camp Director
  • Must be a RN, PA, EMT or paramedic with previous experience working with individuals with special needs
