Integrated Programs

    First Foot Forward's integrated classes allow special needs preschoolers to share experiences and grow together with JCC and UPK children. Your child may attend a morning or full day session with appropriate specialized therapies available. Our unique individualized curriculum fosters hands on learning for all children in a positive and creative small class setting. Classes are located at the Aberlin/North Shore and Avis/South Shore buildings.
 

Related Services

    If your child has been approved by CPSE to receive related services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and/or counseling, we can provide these services around your child's preschool, day care or home schedule.
 

Additional Services

    Children attending our centerbased and integrated classes also participate in weekly individualized dance therapy, music and swim experiences. Door to door transportation is provided for eligible children and mainstreaming opportunities with the JCC Preschool are available. Parent support groups further enhance learning experiences.
 

Enhanced Classrooms for Hearing Impaired Children

    We also have adapted pre-school classrooms to better serve the needs of children with hearing impairments. 

     In an acoustically enhanced setting, children will enjoy a preschool curriculum that emphasizes speech and language, shared learning and increased self-esteem. Adaptive materials and methods along with FM Sound Field systems will be utilized. This program will work in conjunction with JCC Pre-school, First Foot Forward and Pilot Pre-school at both centers.
