GED PROGRAM FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS

The JCC offers GED preparatory classes which provides students with the necessary skills needed to pass the GED( high school equivalency diploma ) exam. Classes are FREE and are taught by qualified instructors. The GED exam measures knowledge in different areas: Language Arts, Writing, Social Studies Science, Reading and Mathematics.

We also offer ABE ( adult basic education ) classes designed for students who need to improve basic Reading and Math skills before they qualify to move into the GED level. Special emphasis is given to the development of critical thinking skills. This program is made possible through the generous funding by the DYCD (Department of youth and community development).
