Communities That Care Coalition Join and make a difference. We need you! Whether you are a high school youth looking for a place to have fun while gaining community service hours and leadership training or an adult interested in making a difference in your community, we've been looking for you. The Staten Island Communities That Cares Coalition is a partnership of adult and youth community members, business people and community agencies working to reduce youth substance abuse. Don't have much time to give? No problem. Our full coalition meets only seven times a year but feel free to come to whichever coalition or subcommittee meetings fit your interests and schedule. The Coalition is funded by a grant from the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice Dept. of Prevention. We have many fun and effective community wide initiatives throughout the year.
