Students at the Music Institute have a
unique opportunity to perform in Student-Faculty recitals held
monthly at the JCC. At these recitals, students are able to
demonstrate their musical talents for family and friends and
learn performance skills. Vocalists, string, woodwind and
brass players are encouraged to perform with piano
accompaniment provided by a member of the Music Institute
faculty. Students and audience also hear a short performance
by a teacher from the Music Institute.
All students are urged to perform in at least one recital
during the school year. Students receiving scholarships are
required to participate in at least one recital.
Recitals are held on Sundays
in the Social Hall at the Bernikow JCC/ Mid-Island, 1466
Manor Road.
The first recital is January 13, 2008 @1:00PM, preceded by the
MUSIC INSTITUTE OPEN HOUSE from 12PM – 1:00PM
